While around here we don’t really celebrate the 1810 origin of Oktoberfest (the marriage of the prince of Bavaria, who later became King Louis I, to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen – yikes, that’s a mouthful…and enough history!!), we do celebrate and welcome autumn, maybe one of the most beautiful seasons in Central New York. With that said, mark your calendars! We’ll be celebrating Fall 2023 at the first Sherburne Inn Oktoberfest, to be held on Saturday, October 28 at the Inn.

Kandi’s Kitchen will provide food, which will include bratwurst with kraut, soft pretzels with beer mustard, sausage with peppers and onions, Rueben sliders, German potato salad, pulled pork with red cabbage, and cabbage salad. The Bullthistle Brewery will be there with beer, wine and cider. Come on down to The Sherburne Inn on the last Saturday in October, bring your friends and family, take a seat in our restored dining room, dining porch or bar, and enjoy an old-fashioned Oktoberfest! Hours are 2:30-7:00 p.m. No cost for admission, cost for food and drink will be set accordingly by our food and drink vendors, who will donate a portion of sales to the Inn kitchen rebuild.
